Leading Videographer, Ryan, shooting for up to 9 hours.
We don't sub contract out of our weddings. When you book one of our Wedding video package, you will always have myself (Ryan) as your lead Videographer. The more hours in your package, the more footage we will be able to collect. Remember capturing settings the scenes shots and venue details all takes time.
Assistant camera operator
An assistant camera operator helps to capture footage and setup equipment.
Depending on space and venue restrictions, we can shoot with up two cameras simultaneously, this means we can have multiple shots in your edits. For example, when filming speeches, we can use one camera to capture an overview of the room and a second to capture a close up shot of the top table. When we edit your footage, we will switch between the two cameras to give multiple viewpoints.
We have a selection of HD cameras at our disposal. Cannon 5D Mkiii's are our main workhorses but we also have automatic broadcast quality Sony HXR's which are great for mounting on a tripod pressing record and leaving them to do their thing!
Silver and Gold packages include up to four cameras allowing for even more viewpoints. Not only are we able to capture an overview of the room and the top table, we are able to use our Zoom lens to capture close up shots of the speaker.
1 x Shot Gun Mic + 3 x Lapel clip-on Mics.
Our broadcast quality RØDE Shot Gun Mic is mounted onto the main camera. This mic has a narrow-angle range sensitivity, meaning it does a good job at minimising background noise. This mic will be the main audio source for your extended edit.
Lapel clip-on Mics are small discrete units which clip on to individual speakers to record crystal clear audio. Typically, we use one Lapel on the Groom during the ceremony to pick up both himself and the bride (it is not necessary for the Bride to have her own Mic, we don't want to be clipping any thing on that beautiful dress!). We also use Lapels to Mic up each of the speakers during Speeches.
1 x LED Light Panel.
Unlike photographers, us videographers don't have the luxury of a camera flash! During low lighting conditions (especially during winter) we use LED light panels to add a little more light into the scene. We will never use them during the ceremony, but they do come in very handy during the speeches, cake cutting, first dance, and evening celebrations. They're about the size of your average lamp and have their own power supply so we don't need to worry about being near a plug socket.
Cinematic Trailer :: 3-5 minute video set to a piece of music.
Your Cinematic Wedding Videography trailer (click here for samples) is the first of your two edits. It's all your best bits complied into a short 3-5 minute video. Perfect for sharing on Social Media or for a quick reminisce whenever you fancy reliving your big day! We encourage your influence when picking the sound track and highly recommend you use the Music Bed. Its where we get all our best stuff :) … But anyway, we can discuss all that in greater detail later on.
Extended Edit :: 1-2 hour video including Bridal Preparation, Guest Arrival, Full Ceremony, Speeches, Cake Cutting, First Dance.
Your Extended Edit will arrive a short while after your Trailer. This video will include footage of all of events captured on the day including audio sourced from the mics. This edit will not include any additional sound tracks, we will use audio as recorded on the day.
Both Ceremony and Speeches are recorded gapless. This means footage will be continuous with no gaps or pauses.
